Digital Media Intern - Texas Tasty
Texas Tasty is a food and urban-culture media platform run by a team of five University of Texas graduates. It launched in 2015 as an Instagram page covering local Austin events and happenings, and has since grown into food and culture content spanning video, event coverage, a blog, and a podcast. The brand sits at the intersection of food, culture, and influencer marketing, and frequently produces content that lives on partner brands' channels. Recent milestones include a relaunched blog and a newly launched podcast. Restaurants, events, and brands regularly invite the team to attend openings and experiences across Texas to share with the audience.
Job Description
Texas Tasty is building a small team of interns to attend local food and culture events and write about them in blog format. Interns cover restaurant openings, tastings, and experiences across Texas, then turn them into blog posts, with strong applicants also capturing event photography in the Texas Tasty style for the blog and Instagram. Beyond event coverage, interns can contribute across several areas based on their interests, including: publishing blog posts on viral food and culture trends, creating Instagram Story slides, managing a sports-focused TikTok account and the brand's Twitter/X, creating LinkedIn content, and business development outreach to national brands to explore partnerships. We actively encourage interns to pitch and lead their own projects in the medium they enjoy most, so the work fits their growth goals.
Qualifications

Photography experience is a plus, especially event and lifestyle work in the style on our Instagram.
