Publications and Digital Content Intern - UH Optometry

Founded in 1952, UH Optometry (UHCO) prepares future optometrists for careers in clinical practice, teaching, and biomedical research. We are also home to UH Eye Care, UHCO's clinical training arm, which provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art vision and specialized eye health services to the UH community and the general public. UHCO will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2027.

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Publications & Digital Content Intern to join our team for the upcoming semester. The primary focus of this role is researching, drafting, and writing high-quality copy for our upcoming print and digital publications. In addition to strong journalistic and copywriting skills, the ideal candidate possesses a general knowledge of content creation and basic graphic design, allowing them to seamlessly blend compelling text with engaging visual assets. This position offers an opportunity to enhance one's professional writing portfolio while directly contributing to UHCO's published voice.

Qualifications

Journalism major. Broadcast TV majors considered with exceptional writing portfolio. Rising juniors and above preferred.
