The Dow Jones News Fund Internship Program
The Dow Jones News Fund internship program has a legacy of excellence dating back to 1960. Each year DJNF arranges paid internships for nearly 100 college students across the country and provides them with advanced hands-on training, industry mentors and a robust peer and alumni network to tap into. Interns attend one-week training programs before reporting to work in paid internships at top media companies for 10 to 12 weeks. Weekly salaries start at $525. Application due November 11.

Students will assist in the production of Houston History magazine articles, proofreading, editing, and learning to create and post website content. Houston History magazine is seeking a dedicated student to assist in production of the Houston History magazine and website. The student will work with the editor-in-chief, Dr. Debbie Z. Harwell, graduate assistants, and other students to coordinate magazine content for publication of the fall issue. Students will attend weekly staff meetings, proofread and edit articles, learn to locate images for articles and write captions, conduct research, perform rewrites, and coordinate with other students in a peer review process. They will also learn to create and post website content. Once a semester, students will attend magazine launch events to assist with set up and greeting guests.
