Communications and Content Intern - Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council

Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) is one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the nation, serving more than 26 counties across Southeast Texas. GSSJC empowers girls through learning STEM, participating in outdoor adventures, gaining entrepreneurship skills, and life skills.

Job Description

You will assist in creating, editing, and distributing content across GSSJC’s media channels.

You will learn how communications operate within a major nonprofit organization and contribute to campaigns and initiatives that uplift and support thousands of Girl Scouts.

Assist with writing and editing content for social media, newsletters, blog posts, and web pages

Support PR efforts including research, pitching, and preparing press materials

Help capture and organize digital content (photos, videos, interviews)

Participate in planning and promotion of special events, campaigns, and community initiatives

Assist in monitoring media coverage and social media activity

Collaborate with communications and marketing team members on creative concepts and ongoing projects

Perform general administrative and project support tasks as needed

Qualifications

Rising sophomores in college or higher

Pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, digital media, or related field
