Video Production & Editing Intern - P+R Creative
P+R Creative Group is a Houston-based creative marketing and production agency. We partner with brands and nonprofit organizations to tell compelling stories through video production, social media, and integrated content — from donor-facing event films and brand campaigns to ongoing digital and YouTube series. Our work runs the full production pipeline: shoot coordination and pre-production, on-set production, and post-production editing. Interns join a collaborative production team and get real, hands-on reps across live shoots and edit projects rather than sitting on the sidelines.
Job Description
A hands-on internship for a student who wants real experience in video production and editing. You'll work alongside our production team on live client projects — nonprofit event videos, brand content, and an ongoing digital series — contributing from shoot day through final cut. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting on Houston-area shoots (event coverage, interviews, B-roll) as a production assistant — supporting gear, lighting, audio, and set logistics
Logging, syncing, and organizing footage; managing media and project files
Building rough cuts and assembling B-roll sequences under an editor's direction
Adding lower-thirds, captions, and basic graphics; light audio cleanup and color correction
Cutting short-form social clips from long-form footage for client channels
Supporting production prep and hitting post-production deadlines
Qualifications
Minimum: currently enrolled UH student (junior standing or above preferred) in a media/production major; working knowledge of a video editing platform (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred); reliable, deadline-driven, and comfortable taking creative notes; reliable transportation to Houston-area shoots.
Preferred: a reel or 2–3 samples of edited work (class projects welcome); familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop); interest in nonprofit storytelling and/or short-form social content; some on-set experience with camera, audio, or lighting.
