Video Content Intern – Job Description
As a Video Content Intern at Encore Search Partners, you’ll support our in-house Video Editor in creating short-form, engaging content for our company brand, our CEO’s personal brand, and The Path to Success podcast. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented student to build real-world experience in social-first video production.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit short-form video content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook
Assist in repurposing long-form podcast episodes into short clips for reels and highlight segments
Support our CEO’s personal brand by producing polished, on-brand videos that drive engagement
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency across all content and platforms
Use tools such as Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and other relevant editing platforms
Create attention-grabbing captions, titles, thumbnails, and transitions tailored to each platform
Stay up to date on video trends, formats, and performance best practices
Organize and manage video files, content calendars, and versioning for multi-platform posting
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at the University of Houston in a relevant field such as Media Production, Digital Media, Communications, or Marketing
Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and/or CapCut
Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
Strong communication skills and ability to follow creative direction
Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience editing short-form content for social media
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Canva, or similar design tools
Interest in branding, executive thought leadership, or podcast production
Self-starter with a creative eye and a collaborative mindset
