Social Media Marketing Intern – Job Description

As a Social Media Marketing Intern at Encore Search Partners, you’ll play a key role in supporting our brand visibility and online presence. Working closely with our CEO, Sr. Manager of Growth, Video Editor, and Media Relations Specialist, you'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role is ideal for a student eager to grow their skills in digital marketing, brand building, and executive content strategy in a supportive, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and updating graphics using Canva

  • Design eye-catching thumbnails for video content

  • Support light video editing and formatting for social media platforms

  • Draft engaging copy and captions for LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok

  • Schedule and organize social media posts using our content calendar

  • Research current social media trends, audio, and best practices

  • Help brainstorm and write content ideas for leadership and brand storytelling

  • Collaborate with the team to execute brand-aligned campaigns

  • Perform other relevant marketing and administrative duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled at the University of Houston in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Business, or Media Production

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Articulate presenter with confidence in communicating ideas clearly

  • Basic proficiency with Canva and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok)

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating social media content or managing personal/professional accounts

  • Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)

  • Interest in branding, sales, recruiting, or executive thought leadership

  • Self-starter with a creative eye, attention to detail, and a confident, persuasive communication style that aligns with a high-performing sales-driven environment
