Marketing Intern - University of Houston Online and Special Programs

Hours and Location: Typical office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. Interns are expected to work 10-20 hours per week throughout the semester.

Compensation: Up to $10 per hour in addition to class credit in compliance with your college's criteria.

Our mission is to support academic growth through a diverse range of online degrees and certificate programs.

Position Description and Responsibilities

This is an internship opportunity for current UH students interested in growing their skills and gaining real-world experience in marketing and digital communications in higher education. As a marketing intern, you will work closely with our team to support promotional efforts and enhance our online presence. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the development of marketing materials, including newsletters, marketing campaigns, email campaigns and website content.

  • Creating engaging posts and graphics for social media platforms such as X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

  • Conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities in online education.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current UH junior or senior working towards a degree in Marketing, Business or related field.

  • Creative thinking and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
