Technical Assistant and Production Assistant - Storyboard Studios

Storyboard Studios produces thought-provoking and compelling unscripted content for television and film. Our team develops and creates for some of the world’s leading brands including CNN, PBS, Travel Channel, HBO, and Discovery Channel.

This is a full time production position, with 5-day work weeks and work days up to 12-hours.

Job Description

Technical Assistant
Works alongside our technical crew on cameras, sound, drones and data, helping set up and look after equipment in the field and logging footage.
Requires technical proficiency with cameras, drives and other production gear.

Production Assistant
Supports the production manager with scheduling, logistics, permits, transport, paperwork and daily coordination on location.
Best suited to students in media, film production and journalism, especially those drawn to planning, logistics and coordination.

Qualifications

Must be current UH student with some experience related to the position, and available to work full time beginning in October 2026 and through March 2027. (2 weeks down during holidays)

Initial interviews with selected candidates will be scheduled on or before Friday October 16. This first round may be over Zoom or in person at UH, tbd.

From this first round of interviews, 2 candidates for each position will be selected to move on to a second (Zoom) interview with the series’ Production Manager and the Executive in Charge. They will make the final selection and follow through with the hiring and onboarding process.
