Diverse Voices in Science Journalism Intern - The American Association for the Advancement of Science
The program especially aims to train those who come from, and are committed to covering, communities that have historically been underrepresented in science journalism. The hands-on experience builds interns’ capacity to report on science for a general audience, expanding access to the profession. We invite anyone with a demonstrable interest in issues of diversity in science to apply. We strongly encourage applications from students who are members of historically excluded racial and ethnic communities, are sexual minorities, immigrants, first-generation college students, have disabilities, are neurodivergent or have other identities not listed here and that are not regularly represented in science journalism. Fall Texas Reporting Fellowship - The Texas Tribune
We look for fellows who are ready to dive into daily news and enterprise coverage — including reporting on elections and Texas’ biennial legislative sessions — alongside our seasoned reporting staff. Ideal candidates will have experience reporting and writing on deadline and an interest in covering state policy topics, such as health, education, immigration, criminal justice, and the environment, as well as the state’s changing demographics. February 15 deadline.
Fall Marketing and Communications Fellowship - The Texas Tribune
Our marketing and communications fellows assist in coordinating marketing and media relations for Tribune products, including events and news. They help the MarCom team with copywriting, social media placement, project management and field marketing. They also assist with community outreach efforts through email and phone calls to increase awareness of and attendance at events, and they coordinate media interviews for Tribune reporters. February 15 deadline.

We seek fellows to join our events team to help coordinate, promote and execute some of the Tribune’s 40+ annual events, including the annual Texas Tribune Festival. February 15 deadline!
Fall Engagement Fellowship - The Texas Tribune
We’re hiring fellows to help engage audiences in our politics and policy coverage across platforms. This may include packaging Tribune stories for Instagram, TikTok and Reddit; contributing to our daily newsletters; writing explainers or guides; and pitching and editing short-form videos or other original content for social platforms. Fall Community Engagement Fellowship (Waco) - The Texas Tribune
This fellow drives audience and member engagement by working with the Community Engagement and Events Manager and the Editor-in-Chief to promote The Waco Bridge’s content and events on social media. Their work includes creating and managing the Bridge’s social media content on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and Reddit. February 15 deadline!

2026 Summer Communications Internship (Dallas, TX) - Austin Industries
This is a paid 12 weeks full-time internship program that will start on Monday, May 18, 2026 and run through Friday, August 7, 2026. Our intern will report to the Director of Communications at Austin’s Dallas, TX headquarters. In-House Social is hiring Video Editors. This a full-time job with multiple clients that sometimes require fast turn-around dates. Videos are usually short enough to post on social media platforms. Schedules will be posted at least a week out in advance. This is a hybrid job with remote work and occasional team meetings. Pay starts at $16.50 per video.
Flexers - In-House Social
In-House Social is hiring Flexers. We are an expanding digital marketing company that offers our clients top social media management and content curation. This a full-time job with multiple short video shoots daily. Down time between shoots will still be compensated. Schedules will be posted at least a week out in advance. Pay starts at $18.50/hr.
