Maccabi USA (MUSA) is a federally-recognized not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization with an extensive history of enriching Jewish lives through athletic, cultural, and educational programs. MUSA is the official sponsor of the United States team to the World Maccabiah Games and the Pan American and European Maccabi Games, as well as a sponsor of the JCC Maccabi Games for teens in North America. As the official Maccabi representative in the United States, Maccabi USA supports Jewish athletic endeavors, enhanced by cultural and educational activities in the US, Israel and throughout the Diaspora.
Maccabi USA builds Jewish pride through sports and promotes support for Israel, Zionism, and Jewish continuity through athletic, educational, and cultural experiences for participants of all ages.

Internship Description & Summary
Maccabi USA is seeking a hard-working, responsible, organized, and enthusiastic intern to perform various communication, social media, and other duties related to the organization and its Maccabi Media Program. In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to learn aspects of Maccabi USA and assist with community and delegation outreach via social media, phone calls, and email. Additional duties may include creating press releases, team rosters, social media posts, written articles, and short videos, as well as archiving video/photos, and assisting with research or production for Maccabi USA’s @Home virtual sports show. The candidate may also help with logistics and planning for organizational events and fundraisers.
Internship Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Performs well in a team setting but is also self-directed and able to work without supervision.
Is energetic, coachable, creative and eager to tackle new projects or tasks.
Can work in an office setting, event location or remotely.
Has access to a reliable personal computer.
Possesses strong computer skills including Zoom, Canva, Photoshop & Microsoft Word/Excel.
Is familiar with social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & TikTok.
Has prior experience with hard drive & cloud-storage sites including Google Drive & DropBox.
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere editing software is highly valued.
Experience with website design/management (WordPress) is highly valued.
Familiarity with media equipment including camera, tripod, and microphones is highly valued.
Internship Timeline & Hours
Tentative internship duration: Late August/early September - December, 2025.
Approx. 6-10 hours/week including the possibility of some limited evening hours.
This internship is primarily remote with some opportunity to work in our Philadelphia office.
Success in this role could lead to an extended internship or future employment.
This is a non-paid internship.
We will provide any necessary documentation for college credit if requested.
