Graphic Design Intern - UH Athletics
The University of Houston Athletic Department is now seeking Graphic Design Interns. Specifically, we are looking for highly motivated and driven individuals to learn under our design staff. Through an internship with the University of Houston, you will gain valuable real-world experience working for a collegiate sports organization. You will be responsible for supporting marketing and communications department with various social, print, and web projects involving graphic design.
Responsibilities
Assist the Creative Services department with any and all graphic design needs which include but are not limited to creating print ads, flyers, posters, social media graphics, scoreboard graphics/videoboard, signage, etc.
Assist the graphic designer in game-day graphics which include headshots, promotional graphics and assist in the control room
Assist with graphics for web and print
Represent the University of Houston and the Athletic Department in a positive light
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail oriented
Ambitious and self-initiated
Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects while still maintain quality standards
Must be organized, motivated, dependable and detail oriented
Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
Ability to potentially work non-traditional hours - could include nights and weekends
