Multimedia & Social Media Intern - UH College of Nursing

Description and Responsibilities

The Multimedia & Social Media Intern will support the communications team by developing content across social media platforms for the Andy & Barbara Gessner College of Nursing, assisting with graphic design projects, and capturing photos and videos for campaigns and events for marketing use.

Responsibilities include:

  • Content creation and scheduling on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

  • Graphic design for digital and print use

  • Photography and videography for marketing purposes, including events, programs, b-roll and targeted campaigns

  • Editing photos and videos for use across platforms

  • Communications tied to photography and videography for social media, newsletters, and website (captions, storyline, emails)

  • Supporting general marketing and communications projects as needed

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to bridge student and professional communities through language, photography/videography and content creation

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools (preferred)

  • Photography and videography skills (shooting and editing, preferred)

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and content trends (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)

  • Excellent writing skills with attention to brand tone and style

  • Organized, reliable, and proactive — able to manage tasks and meet deadlines

  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a team and a willingness to learn
