Summer Intern - Etched Communication
Etched Communication is an award-winning, HUB-certified MWBE public relations and crisis communication agency headquartered in Houston, Texas.
Armed with the resources and qualifications of a global firm, supported by personal interactions and tailored strategies of a boutique agency, we provide public relations, crisis management and integrated communication strategy. Etched is proven in media relations, crisis response, brand messaging, executive visibility, digital strategy and experiential executions.
Etched specializes in campaigns related to culture, such as multicultural strategy, causes, like affordable housing and social justice; and crisis, including issues response, reputation management, issues mitigation and public engagement.
Active clients that rely on the expertise of the Etched team include Fortune-ranked publicly traded corporations, cause-related governmental entities, and non-profit organizations.
Job Description
Draft statements, press releases, or social media posts for potential or real crisis scenarios. Learn to identify reputational risks and manage client communications. Complete administrative tasks, maintain project documentation, and assist with internal reporting. Potentially contribute to office engagement by planning small events or creative initiatives. Develop or refine LinkedIn profiles, résumés, and cover letters with feedback from supervisors.
This is a part-time, hybrid internship.
Qualifications
Must be a college student; if seeking academic credit, we will coordinate with the institution to fulfill any paperwork or curriculum requirements.
Resume: Showcasing relevant extracurriculars or coursework.
Cover Letter: Demonstrating writing skills, communication style, and interest in PR/crisis comm.
Recommendations: Highly encouraged. At least two references if possible.
