Digital Communication and Outreach Intern - In Her Corner Foundation
In Her Corner Foundation is a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls ages 8–14 through mentorship and confidence-building events. We are seeking a Digital Communication & Outreach Intern to support our growing team. This internship is designed for students interested in building skills in communications, outreach, and nonprofit operations while earning course credit or volunteer hours.
Responsibilities
Digital Communication
Assist with social media management, including scheduling, posting, and engagement.
Create flyers, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
Draft, format, and distribute newsletters and announcements.
Support website updates and communication initiatives.
Respond to inquiries from families, community members, and partners.
Outreach & Events
Record and edit photo and video content at community events.
Engage with families, mentors, and community partners during events and activations.
Assist with mentor applications, mentee matching communication, and scheduling.
Connect with sponsors and help maintain ongoing communication with partners.
Program Support
Support website management and content updates.
Provide general assistance with outreach and program initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a college or university program (eligible for course credit or volunteer hours).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation.
Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred.
Comfortable using AI tools to support tasks such as content creation, design, organization, or research.
Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, adaptable, and eager to take initiative.
Organized, dependable, and enthusiastic about contributing to a mission-driven team.

Location & Hours
Hybrid: Combination of remote work and in-person events (Houston area).
