Marketing Intern - Houston Therapy

Houston Therapy is a group practice with 12 therapists. We provide therapy, counseling, psychological assessments, and executive coaching. We have an active online presence on social media.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to support a growing private psychotherapy practice focused on high-quality, evidence-based care. This role is ideal for a student interested in digital marketing, content creation, and brand development within the mental health space. May 20 deadline!

The intern will work closely with the practice owner to develop and execute marketing strategies aimed at increasing visibility, engagement, and client referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in creating, and scheduling content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, blog)
-Support short-form video production (editing, captions, hooks, formatting for platform optimization)
-Help translate clinical and psychological concepts into clear, engaging, audience-friendly content
-Conduct research on mental health topics, marketing trends, and competitor strategies
-Assist with website updates and SEO optimization (blog posts, page structure, keyword integration)
-Track and report on content performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions)
-Contribute ideas for content series, campaigns, and audience growth strategies
-Support outreach efforts to referral partners (e.g., physicians, therapists, community organizations)

Qualifications

-Completed at least 1 year of college
-Strong interest in psychology, mental health, or healthcare
-Familiar with TikTok/Instagram/LinkedIn content trends
-Creative, self-directed, and comfortable taking initiative
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Interest in learning how marketing connects to business growth
