Social Media Intern - Texas Tasty

We are a group of passionate foodies that live at the intersection of food, culture and everything in between from Texas and beyond. What started as a fun project at The University of Texas, has turned into a passion and way of life for us! Join us in our journey to live life through the lens of food.

We are looking for a small team of interns that would get to go to these events and experiences and write about them in blog format. If you have a passion for and experience with photography, taking pictures at the events in the style displayed on our Instagram page would be helpful as well. We would love to feature these images on the blog and even on the Texas Tasty Instagram page itself. This is an unpaid internship. It is remote, with an expectation of 12 hours per week.

In addition to this, interns can help in a lot of other different areas. Here are some examples below:

• First and foremost would love to have you work on any projects you see of interest or want to launch.

• Restaurant Visits

• Creating IG Story Slides

• Managing one of our sports based TikTok accounts (https://www.tiktok.com/@theballlclub) and our twitter.

• Business development by reaching out to national brands and exploring partnership opportunities

• Manage and create content for Linkedin

• Continuing to publish blog posts on viral food and culture trends like music reviews or the latest bread making craze

• And any ideas you have! We are always open to ensuring you are working on projects and in a medium that you like and will allow you to grow.

• TikTok, Podcast, Twitter

Qualifications

Interest in Houston events, food, pop culture and covering through written and social content.
